Post by: HARORIDER on April 04, 2010, 12:48 PM
never really thought of this but is there a "set" position for the axle to sit in the rear drop out of a new old school build ??? i normally tend to set them central??

i have wondered this paul, i tend to put it central as well. dont tighten until you put the chain on though as you may need to creep it back or forwards a touch and you dont wanna mark it up

Happy Easter mate by the way :daumenhoch:

Some people like is slammed all the way in as they prefer a shorter back end (oo-er missus)

I would say see how your install with the chain goes & if your not happy with the position use a 1/2 link.... :daumenhoch:

there ain't no rules, this is freestyle after all ;)

isn't it.....?

We used to always slam it or as close as so we can adjust the wheel back when the chain stretches  ;)
