I built this Rider in homage to Gary72's Camo Tape Holmes.
The frame is an original Chrome Oversize Holmes with bits I nicked off my Challenger or Dan at BMXCITY (Grantham) found in his wharehouse.
I got the frame from GingerHolmes on here and when it arrived was in better condition than what I expected. So one day when I was bored I decided that I would change the colour for £1.89
Got myself some yellow Electrical Tape from B&Q, 2 hours later and Bingo The Yellow Tape Holmes was born. I then printed some early holmes style letters off a number plate website cut them out and stuck them on with Sellotape.
I know it's not the most normal thing to do but if there is one consolation it does put a smile on my face.

Good job fella :daumenhoch:
-
never seen a whole bike taped up before..odd but from a distance the colour looks good.
-
Seen a few taped up bikes up Ayton in the 90s- even did mine in brown tape one time, so to me, it does fit mid school looking bike - looks good.
-
Best not show my son this thread, he's just done redwall tyres with insulation tape
The joys of being 14... :LolLolLolLol:

Ride it hard & feel protected if you bail ;D :daumenhoch:

Haha I remember sticky dots from WHsmith.
Do you remenber that issue of BMXActionBike where they sprayed graffitti and stuff on a DP and put dots on it?
I think they gave it away as a competition prize.

i like this Holmes quite a bit :daumenhoch:

i did my silver streak in red tape once.
i like how you see the other holmes stickers thru the tape. and you mightve done a better job round the dropouts. ;)
overall 10/10.
i.e. from 10 metres away at 10p.m. it looks good. :2funny:

Cheers Brother
I might take it to Radchester 10, looks like a good bash.
It's my Rider so the tape has nearly fell off the dropouts now. might change it to red, John Paul Rodgers style if I can be arsed to go to B&Q. Haha
