do you need a race licience to race at andover this weekend, if so how do you go about getting 1

Your allowed to race the first 2 summer regionals upto the 1st of May without a license.

If your racing the 3rd Summer regional or any summer regional that occurs on/after 1st May then you'll need a Silver BC Membership (which also comes with a FREE provisional Race license).   If you want to race Nationals then you'll need a Full Race license which you'll have to pay for along with your Silver BC Membership.

we was told at gosport that to race at  andover we would need a licence.................

No one needs a race license to compete in a REGIONAL round, licenses are only required to compete in NATIONALS

However you do need a minimum of SILVER British Cycling Membership

This was decided at last years BCF AGM
