Title: Suntour stem info ???
Post by: southern andy on April 10, 2010, 03:19 PM
Just removed this stem from my latest find and the stem seems quite angled down.

I've not seen one like this before, does anyone know anything about it ???????  All my other Suntour stems are straight across.

Not seen one like that before, Also there seems to be a recess where the long bolt/washer goes. Maybe some kind of freestyle stem?
Whats the top and bottom colour match like? Might just be a Suntour top on another bottom.

Yeah I've had a couple myself they are the earlier version.

Ahhhh coooooool  :4_17_5:

Sorry Ian mate, it's not for sale as it's off a 1980ish race bike, it's completely original of all parts except grips. In survivor condition aswell.
Completely stripped today and given a really good clean of 25+ yr old grease and crud. This was how i found the stem and it just didn't look right.  :LolLolLolLol:

Thought i'd show you a few survivor gold parts i've removed today and cleaned.

I started doing it today as my son is going to crack on with this for his Duke of Edinburgh award scheme for school.

Anyhow, everybody loves pictures......
