have we got a guide anywhere of how to correctly set up these brakes to get the best performance out of them :-\
if not help please :daumenhoch:
-
what do you need to know?
-
how to set them up ie how tight is back nut got to be what do both nuts do on front of centre bolt? like i said a step by step guide would be good sure there's a few people would find this usefull :daumenhoch:
-
as Glen says, lube the shyte out of the cable! as for how tight the back nut should be? well i always find it's a bit of trial and error with that.......nip it up until it holds and also allows the caliper to return properly, saying that though i've had some that just never seem to want to return correctly whatever you do to em :-\
-
bolting brakes on is easy.............dialling them in is a fookin fine art  one that i have yet to manage with any great satisfaction :-[ but they are all trial and error :daumenhoch:
-
ahh, going by these comments - i assume my MX1000 being absolute crap at actually braking is a bit of a common trait and not just down to my particular brake!
-
I'm new to all this but after my experience with 901's I've come to the conclusion they are brakes in name only :crazy2:
Pitbulls are the nuts though :daumenhoch:

i just put it down to me being a bit too fat for the MX1000 to cope with :D
