Title: Amacco Freestyler?? - ID Please
Post by: StellaAtoiz on April 23, 2010, 11:54 PM
Can anyone confirm if this is a Amacco Freestyler and what year it would be?

Do these bikes have any interest to anyone or just good for the tip (having a spring clear out):

Spec is:

Dia compe bulldog calipers.
Sh1t brake levers.
Haro knee saver bars.
Brand new sh1t and dangerous non branded mags which will kill you.
GT Seat & seat post clamp.
Layback seat post.
Mongoose rotor stem.
Schwalbe white wall tyres.
AME Grips.
SFE Pedals.
KEIHIN Cro Mo crank arm (stamped on arms).

(I realise even that the local tip would refuse to take the mags).

Many Thanks

Stella :)

The frame is an early Ammaco Freestyle Pro circa 84, the rest of the stuff is a bit of a mishmash as that frame would never of had that stem gyro etc fitted, the pads are original to the bike but not the decals.
Cant tell what the mags are but they couldl be acorn stamped ammaco as they fitted them to there completes around the frames era.

Many thanks for your help!

I have identified the mags as being some cheap rubbish sold on ebay new for £40 inc post :2funny:

So if I understand correctly the only bit that may be of interest to any one into old school bmx would be the frame, fork and padset?

Would it be worth advertising on here or are there any specific Amacco sites that are known of?

Thanks again

Stella

The difference between the King, Ace and Pro was purely down to the components from what I remember.  In that order, with the Pro having the better spec gear such as Pro Class wheels, Dia Compes etc etc
