Hmm, taking the missus to London for the weekend as a 40th birthday present without the kids. Does a vert ramp demo count as 'romantic' do you think?

Interesting this - I opnce met Max who organises the Gumball 3000 rallies - he was selling a NOS 97 pk ripper frame and forks, whcih I bought fm him, then went and collected from his London pad - my god - in one of the massive rooms in hos huge townhouse was abut 30 old school frame/forks sets including rippers, quads, TA's, etc etc and also the same amount of old school skate stuff...
Max used to ride and skate, and was collecting all the stuff he wanted as a kid - he's now seriously loaded of course after making Gumball a success - he was a cool guy, and his wife and kids were lovely too - plus he's a fellow BMX collector!
thought youd like this extra bit of info on the Gumball stuff!

He's got Woody's gold Hutch too apparently...
-
I to met Max a few years ago at the first Murray Jam. We talked about OS bikes and how they had developed and how he had been ripped off over a f& by the old eBay rogue 302Zapper (aka James Newstead)
Max is a cool guy for sure, very succesful too.
-
Stodgy mate, youre not wrong - he was the one who paid some medical bills for Woody Itson, and that gold Hutch was indeed in his collection.
What a dude!
