Title: Raleigh Racing 'Team' R5000

'Team'
 Raleigh Racing

Whilst trying to find as much as i could about Raleigh Racing it seems they had bikes done in team colours just as we did with our team ap's. I don't believe that RR ever released team's in their range though. My R5000 build is inspired by the RR team's

yes the frame was superchromed after i had had it re-chromed. I saw the pads on the bay last week. They had all the wrong info. Steve made the pads up from an old original set. A mate of mine had a blue nos set still sealed and Steve's work was so exact.

Thanks for the nice comments. I was looking for doing something a bit different and was pleased how it turned out.

John, i am looking forward to cracking on with the next one too matey. Got a whacking customs charge on the wheels, they get delivered tomorrow ;)

Sorry i forgot to put a thankyou up Andy. My stem shaft needed a little attention, i couldn't have left it in safer hands matey. Your engineering work is precision perfection.
( that is open to a terrible punking isn't it  ;D )

Glynn's builds are ALWAYS pukka  :4_17_5:

but it not till you see his bikes up close in the flesh

 you see how particular his attention to detail and  top quality of finish is  :daumenhoch:

Glynn - just had another look at this and it really is a great looking build mate  :coolsmiley:

That viscount aero - not seen one in that guise before  ???

Seen the standard "Viscount Aero" side decal ones and the mongoose "BMX Aero" ones and also "Team Cycle Aero" ones but I take it that one says "BMX Raleigh" ?  :-\

Any close ups ?

Here you go John, you have a keen eye. I was over the moon at scoring this when i was sourcing parts for the build. I got it from US ebay nos, it is the spec seat that came on the 83 RR range. You do see the odd blue and red one pop up used now and again but getting a nos black one made me a happy guy. :coolsmiley:

The decals were reproduced by that fellow with his own decal gallery thread at the top of this section. Pretty flippin good at it he is too. :daumenhoch:
