Title: MRD Fork Resto
Post by: animal on May 19, 2010, 09:42 PM
These r 4 my next project that I'm on with another MRD Pro  ;)

got these forks on a purchse a while back and used them on my rider till this project came up . When I got them some Knob Jockey had drilled an extra hole in them 2 take an MX1000 brake  :'(  They only just take an MX900 on these an 890 is better.  >:(

So what I did first was get the chrome stripped . Then I Tig welded up the holes with Phosphur Bronge rods , so the weld would take on the braizing .

Then I refinished them using a dremel and ikle stone wheels etc .
Then my favourite bit I engraved the weld lines back onto the braize  ;D
