Right,I dont know if this should be in here or in wanted section?,I have just got meself a Motobecane mx 400 frame with ARX forks to do a survivor build on...why I hear some of you at the back ask?...or what the hell is one of them?...well pretty scarce over here but I have wanted one for a while now as its a little different looking to most other race frames.
What I want to know/see is any info on them?...apart from stuff on the museum pics etc and I know Claude Vuillemot the french national champ used to ride them...just wondered if anyone out there knows much?...any info gratefully received chaps :)
Just so you know what im on about...Oh and thats not a dent in one of the top tubes...its got internal brake cable routing :coolsmiley:

I like that Ronnie , something a bit different from the norm :daumenhoch:
Can't help on any info though mate :D

I quite like them.
That must be a later version - the one I had didn't have the head tube/down tube gusset and the seat tube gusset was inbetween the top tubes/seatstays.
-
So, you grabbed it ? ;)
Well done Ronnie

Yea this is an 84/85 on the cusp of when they changed but before they changed to MBK from Motobecane...and I beleive it is the so called second generation with the differences as you say :D

http://translate.google.de/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.23mag.com%2Fgens%2Fmeneau.htm&sl=fr&tl=en&hl=&ie=UTF-8
Did you see frdavid and skub's MBK MX400 in our museum?
guess you already know these pics: http://bmxmuseum.com/bikes/motobecane/
The range Motobecane 1984 is presented in the BMX magazine # 19 April 1984.
The story of mbk--in french though-- in Cream bmx #15 - novembre décembre 2005 Dr oldschool : la saga MBK
Not sure, but i guess one should search for 'mbk' rather than for 'motobecane' on info for the mx400
Whats the ginger puss doin in this serious thread?
