Serial number and its location and a few general pics. Drop outs, platform and b/b. That should conclude the mystery. And then can I take it out for a meal? :-*

The serial seems a bit of a mystery, the earlier ones with the 3 hole drop out were more specific if you understood them. 7840054. Would mean 7 = July, 84 for the year and 0054 for the production number. And a FS to the left of it for freestyle. I'm pretty sure the 3 hole drop out went on in to 85 for a few months, but don't know if the serials continued in the same way. So early 85?

Thanks mate the serial number is on the left drop out if your looking from the rear ??? Ive no other markings anywhere else apart from GT 4310 at the end of the top Tube.

Lets see a pic of the whole frame from the side Moza...will be able to tell for sure then...

mmm serial sounds taiwan made as i think the us ones only used numbers :-\ and the 0 with 2 lines sounds like a baseball stamp????? but not sure. the us ones are all stamped on the left dropout as yours is though but i think they are all stamped fs. pm steven costa he is the performer guru and will tell you for sure :daumenhoch:
-
Side view :daumenhoch: yes the stamp looks like a baseball or tennis ball :daumenhoch:

cool, love this bmx lark its like an education :LolLolLolLol: great to learn new stuff. wouldnt mind a jap built performer and that would explain the baseball as the tai performers i have seen were stamped on the bb with no symbols
:daumenhoch:

the only jap performers ive seen were stamped on the inside of the left rear drop out and the chain stay tubing behind the chainwheel was goved but i could be wrong what do i know :LolLolLolLol:
