Which way does the left sided pedal on a OPC unwind? is it the same way on all OPC's? so which way please :daumenhoch:
-
Clockwise - now where's that seatclamp? ;)

Daz...
It's important to remember that the right pedal and the left pedal are threaded in opposite directions.
The right pedal is Loosened in a counterclockwise manner, while the left pedal is loosened clockwise.

If they have been on a while give em a good soak in WD40 before trying them and Lube the new pedals up with a thin coat of grease. :daumenhoch:

just checking as this is proving to be a bugger! to shift :daumenhoch:

When I'm lost on shit like that, I just go to another bike thats loose and try them out

The same as a 3pc.
If your standing over the bike (sat on it). Stick your wrench on the pedal and pull toward you from the top. Same as the other side (because threads are reverse). Loosen by unwinding to the rear. Tighten by winding to the front. Piccys in the guides below will help!! :daumenhoch:

Leverage is the most important thing. Using a stubby spanner wont get you nowhere. A good pedal wrench with a long handle is far better.

:LolLolLolLol: do you not think this was my first option Dave? :2funny:
-
if you are using a double open ended spanne you can use a ring spanner on the end to get extra leverage :daumenhoch: Plenty of WD40 first though...
-
the bigger the problem the bigger the hammer :daumenhoch:

As I tell my lass...........
its all about deep penetration of your lubrication
Wetter the better
And the length of your spanner :daumenhoch:
