Its the 4th Round of the 2010 Summer Series!! so come on lads get ya names down!!!!

You need a Silver BCF Membership to race at Manchester and the rest of the summer series.

DO NOT TURN UP WITHOUT A BCF SILVER MEMBERSHIP.    If you book online then print out your receipts etc, etc for proof  

RADBMX ID, Number Plate and Weapon of OS Destruction Please.  

REMEMBER!!!   OS Racing is all about fun and trying to stay on the bike.  So all you newbies out there who want to have a dabble then dont wait and dont worry.  We're a great bunch of lads.  Whatever physical condition your in or skills your lacking, you'll still be appreciated.  Its all about the CRAIC!!  :daumenhoch:

If any Midlands, Southern or Scottish OS Riders fancy a trip up/down to sunny Manc then you'll be more than welcome but prepare for a good ass whupping!!   ;D

Full Face Helmet, Long pants and long sleeve jersey and Gloves are minimum requirements.   I suggest Shin/Kneepads and Elbow pads.  Body Armour wouldn't go a miss either!!  ;)

Moley has put me in charge of getting the riders list up and updated.

I think he's away on holiday- he said something about "TT races" and "Isle of Man", but he may well have said "I Love Man". I'm not sure.

Anyway,  what he does on holiday is his business. Get yer names down.

What is it about Manchester always getting a cack turnout? (And I'm saying that as someone who has never ridden Manchester).

3 reasons why manc rank

1) 2nd straight is uphill
2) rain is usually horizontal
3) very close to other race dates

My racing licence and British cycling membership ran out today.

Going to give them a ring to re-new it now.

Do I need membership this time or can I just get a provisional racing licence?

I'm pretty sure it's Silver Membership and provisional race license (comes with it) that you need.

Try again tonight and tomorrow!!

And if you still can't get on then just tell them you forgot it and will bring it next time!!

You raced at Preston and hartlepool and both of those races you needed a license.

12:30 will probably be when it starts

A top day today, the racing is getting so much closer (well that's how it seems in the mid-pack).  I thought the organisation today was top notch - hat's off to Manchester BMX club.

Congrats Richie on your first win -  I'm sure JT is already plotting his revenge :D

Since the BMX O/S Europeans law came in for  strict era correctness  :police:

and Dan Dare's crusade for pre 1986 equipment

and I'm now a member of D.I.C.K.S,, ( Dan's inaugration for correct kit society ) 


Not sure if going down to 18.5TT was necessary though  :-\

the last time i raced there (quite a few oldschoolers turned out) the weather was foooooooooooooooooooooooooookin shocking (2009/10 winter series) and the wind was well against ya goin up the 2nd straight, was horrendous for novice and newcomers, which all the old school were back then, that kinda sticks in yer mind and my thought was that may have affected the initial number of oldschool peeps who had not put their name down for this race when i responded to the post of why the numbers maybe low, plus it is very close to the next race date, as it turned out, the weather fookin rocked, the first straight had much improved, the 2nd straight was still uphill but not an issue as wind was oldschool friendly, and i even liked the difficult as hell last straight that im still picking bits of out my knee, if a tracks easy whats the point  :LolLolLolLol:

soooooooooooooooooo, great track, nicely positioned berms, very nice start gate,(really nice start gate  :daumenhoch:) top organisation, absolutely no complaints from me and ooddles of praise a plenty, just a shame its in manchester  :LolLolLolLol:

oh, n sort ya weather out for the winter series  ;)

I think everyone enjoyed it!!

We were the only class to have semi's.......................although some of our riders always have semi's!!!  :shocked:

Its a hard track though..........my back is still aching!!!  :LolLolLolLol:
