well i've always loved these frames and thought they are often over looked as a great design, so looking for a new race frame to build up to ride i stumbled across this on ebay, it was in germany but what the hell......i only went and won it! so it arrived today and my god it's a thing of shere beauty!!! i gave it a rub over with a cloth and just sat there for about 15 minutes looking at it in the sun! (yes i think i need medication) ;D it's a pro model so it has a 20" tt which is well ridable for me.
i've been told it's a Gen2 model from about the start of the 90's (as it has the pitbull mount) but can't make out the year from the serial number? Jai can you help?
it's a survivor but other than the odd washer mark on the dropouts it's in mint condition! hope you like as much as i do!

very nice pickle :daumenhoch: cost a few quid for the LG's to match tho ??? unless there 1 1/8
-
well i've hopefully sourced some era correct ones, but they're 1" threaded so OS legal :daumenhoch:
-
Does your misses panic every time the postman comes about how much you have spent like mine.
Looks a sweet project :daumenhoch:
-
nice one pickle,i got a 1 1/8 with canti mounts but identical to that never built if you ever want a modern matchup.
-
I think that might be something we need to discuss at MK Dan :daumenhoch:
-

She really is a thing of beauty, the pictures don't do her justice as they're only crappy phone pictures
-
You're damn right Rob theseare great looking frames :smitten:
Regretted selling mine to Dan diesel , especially when he did such a fine job ,repainting and building it up :4_17_5:
But that chrome one will look awesome once it's mounted on LG's :)
-
lovely rob - will this be your race steed for mk?
-
Very nice :daumenhoch:
-
the ultimate SE frame IMO, the 20" will prob ride a lot nicer than the longer one i had, nice buy dude :daumenhoch:
-
Very underrated frame, still very ridable nowadays and featuring most of the SE gimmicks, that rear tube end is just genius !!!
I think I could have spent 15 minutes staring at it too :LolLolLolLol:

Cheers guys.......she really is special :daumenhoch:
