Had this build planned for a while now - bought the frame n forks from a RAD member back in august last year. It's in great shape with real nice original chrome and original survivor decals too :)
I've wanted to do a red/white/blue build after being inspired by some of the Robbo's and TA's etc. and an 86 cali was the perfect candidate with it's red/white/blue decals.
They are a nice light frame and fork set the 86. The frame is a touch lighter than the earlier cali's and they also come with full chromo forks too. Not a great deal of original 86 chrome cali's knocking round it would seem as the freestyle bikes where more popular in general in 86 and even the calis that were bought looked to have been favoured in the white finish that was also offered at the time.
Anyway - it's also the last year that mongoose used the traditional mongoose font for the decals (until very recently) and also the year Skip Hess sold the company so it marks the last collecting year for me from a personal point of view.
Right too much waffling here we go.........

Cheers lads :daumenhoch:
Enjoyed selecting the parts for this one, trying to get the balance right. Always tricky with multiple colours but I decided to keep all the ano bits red, all the plastic / rubber blue and brought the white in with the pads n tuffs - happy how it balanced out in the end :)
Thanks for the comments ;)
