Title: Crank question, Is this safe to use?
Post by: Gary72 on July 12, 2010, 09:29 PM
Stripped my race bike for a MK makeover and noticed what could be a crack in my Proline cranks where the pedal boss is welded.
Would you guys be happy riding on this?

Fook, I've been racing with it for nearly a year. No idea when the crack appeared. Could it be welded and then powdered?
Seems a shame to bin them.

ask Geth to see a pic of his calf when his Profiles let go in that spot, that would give you your answer

Weld it and get it Powdered :daumenhoch:
I would ride it if the crack doesn't open up with your weight on it but it is your shins :uglystupid2:

its cracked for a reason, and thats because its pulling away there,   it could let go at any time, look at it as fate that you have seen it before you have eaten dirt...
