Hi,whats the best and quickest remover of rust on a rawed frame(previous owner going for the rat look!)I've read about the vinegar, coke etc regarding chromed parts.Do these methods still apply to a raw frame?cheers Gary

Should work just fine mate - or fully submerse it in a tub filled with vinegar or water mixed with citric acid powder - safe and effective :)

B careful I have had problems with using vinegar . I.e. 2 clean up some drop outs I stuck the fork legs in jam jars full of vinegar . Did the job I wanted great but the only draw back was it left a micron deep line around the forks where the top of the vinegar was. I can only assume it was some sort of electrolitic action with exposure 2 the air >:(

Yours is a bare frame so Steves "bleaching" of the chrome won't effect you ;)
Personally with that frame I would go full submersion in a big tub with citric acid powder mixed with water - very effective, cheap and safe :daumenhoch:
And if you get the food grade citric acid powder you can make some nice desserts with whats left :LolLolLolLol:

You mix 1 part with 9 parts water Gary and leave it for 24hrs. :4_17_5:
