Early Redline MXII's were available in yellow but unfortunately the colour was fazed out. The 500a / 600a is a 1983/84 Frameset and was available in white, black, blue, red and chrome!
Personally I only ever saw them in chrome and white (I had one bitd) but I've seen the 102b framesets which are the same in the other colours. I think the 102b was the overseas name for the 500a / 600a.

Hope this helps

John

Candy that be done with rattlers????

If you find a good paint shop they will make up the paint you want and they can also load it into cans ready for you to spray. So yes in theory you can do candy with rattlers.

I had 2 litres of 2 pack Candy red made up a few years ago the cost was £75

What about a nice Ron Burgundy Blazer Red paired with some White action slacks (forks)? 8)

Or what about a cheeky Chuck Norris Red, White & Blue combo:

Cheers Fella
Yes mate done with rattlers around 5 coats of white biulding it up slowly then 3 coats of lacquer, it's come out quite good i think.

I have the decals they will be going on over the weekend.

I was going to keep this redline coz it's gunna come out real nice and the frame is pretty light BUT ive just done a load of dosh on a Ammaco Freestyler that ive been after for a while sooooo it might have to go OR my DP Firebird will go instead.........i will have to think long and hard over my holiday.

Ill keep ya posted with some more pics

Does clear lacquer not affect the white colour.  Years ago, I painted the petrol tank off an old Yamaha XT :smitten: and it looked fine until I applied a few coats of lacquer and the white ended up yellowy .   :(  I gave it to my uncle who worked in a bodyshop and he sorted it properly after my aborted effort.   :-[
