Title: Can you get chrome off with sandblasting

got a frame I want to spray that's chrome, can Sandblasting get the chrome off?

From what I understand, you can sandblast the chrome off.

This is ok for powder coating

However if your are going to wet spray it then you will end up with an orange peel texture, I believe that if you want to wet spray then having it chemically dipped is the best way for a really great spray job.

Someone with far more knowledge will be able to either confirm this or show me to be a complete novice....  :)

A chromer can remove the chrome in a reverse kind of process. It's not labour intensive, just dipping in some tanks so not pricey. £10 - £20?

I'm in east sussex mate  ,thought if there was one nearby it would save on postage to and from the chromers

no problem mate, i'm in kent but am in east sussex all the time for work, i can collect and deliver  :daumenhoch:

i removed the chrome from my r gusset robbo bitd by throwing rocks at it!! :'(
