Title: Headset Help
Post by: Daletsunami on July 27, 2010, 09:44 PM
Going to start slowly building this little number up but don't have a clue with what i'm looking at?

FSA has been mentioned as one to look at (cheers Pickle  8)) but what other mid-school headset are out there? once i've got the info on the headset i'll probably want to ask  about other parts so any idea's welcome  :daumenhoch:

the pig?

I remember some company in UK making some real chunky headset - rekta or something,  but mine cracked at the bit that sat in the frame - beef up one bit, you open a weakness in another bit.

Not sure if mr rekka made or sold a full headset, but these were about in the early 90's for sure.

Yes, thats the one.

nosepickben, yes that links shows the one I had, just the bottom cup - not sure where or how I got mine, but like I said it broke, haha - I was gutted cos the actual beefed up bit was strong as.

The pig seems the best headset I've ever used.

I always had sealed primo on my bikes and never once had a problem bud.
