Title: Early 80's Echo GT full face
Post by: mcbain70 on August 03, 2010, 07:52 PM
I've dug out an early 80's (late 83 I think) Echo GT full face helmet out of my parents garage - completely forgot I had it TBH.  Are these quite common or quite rare?  It is like the one Nelson Chanady used to wear.

They are lush helmets, I had one myself when I rode for GT.

I've got one, with the matching A'me GT Goggles, Aero leathers, and jersey to match. I just need the yellow and blue Vans and some yellow and blue JT half breed gloves :)

The helmets aren't very common nowadays.

Love the Archer jersey's, my old boss has won that road race a couple of times albeit many years ago; Steve Heffernan  :daumenhoch:.  I used to ride that circuit twice a week too for many years, a couple of nasty climbs on it like Whiteleaf Hill, man that was/is a killer  :D.
