It pains me to say this but they always bring in more money if you split them.  It's a lovely bike and I wouldn't want to break it up myself either...

It's difficult to price that as a full bike since the eras of the parts are quite mixed it all depends on your bidders and there liking for your build spec if you go complete.

You really would be better off splitting it to get the most out of it though.

If you do split I would be VERY interested in the seat and would also look at the grips, seatpost, crank, maybe even the tyres and brake.

Thanks for all comments, I can not find many mongoose parts or completes on ebay Uk or abroad to compare it with, and really dont want to break it, the parts in all were silly money but would like it to stay as a whole bike but cant be sentimental over it I suppose, Owes me about 600 quid in all so maybe a listing of £300/350 buy it now plus the postage would temp someone, dont want to give it away either, I have never seen another nos messenger seat on ebay or elsewhere, most parts on the bike are era correct within reason  the wheels are a tad later at 82 , not 100% sure on the year of brake set up , tyres were late 70,s also, in all a cracking bike that would look good in any collection, just sad that its going to have to go .
