Hi Guys, looking for your opinions on this so far - to make sure I'm going the right way.....good or bad opinions - I can handle it :knuppel2: :knuppel2:
Had some NOS tyres through the post today so I just had to see what it looked like built with the bits I have gathered so far......its not been wheeled since '88 so I'm feeling pretty chuffed at the mo. would have preferred original White CW freestyle tyres but they are rare! ( know for some with Dakota on the museum but havent asked a price - doubt i could afford them anyway, but I will want to be riding this when its done 8) )
The pedals are Victors that I am getting the cages powdered white. Stem is GT mallet, a bit bent but being refurbed too. I'll be breaking it down over the weekend and then getting it ready to go for powder.

once this is all done just got a few small items left to source so I'll be asking around when the time comes.....hope you'll be able to help.
Cheers.

PS just to clarify - this is what it originally looked like new

Looks good, I would loose the seatpost though & maybe change the grips, but everything else looks or is going to look good once powdered :daumenhoch:
Will the stem straighten ?
-
Yep, seatpost looks wierd!! :D
It looks a bit bland at the moment due to lack of decals but it will start looking good once you bring everything together!! :daumenhoch:
-
Looks like a Neil Ruffell Rep.
Good luck with the build 8)

x2
a nice white layback and some white ame rounds will sort it
CW tyres and rocking horse shit without doubt... oruange ones look fine :daumenhoch:
coming along nicely that :daumenhoch:
-
I don't think I would go with a layback, the seat angle is way relaxed as it is, a layback will be way over the back wheel :D
But maybe give it a try, you never know :daumenhoch:
