Title: 82 Gusset Goose, new pics on page 2.
Post by: stevochb on August 18, 2010, 07:21 PM
Just about finished this still need a frame pad and red brake set but the sun came out so I took a few pics.

82 frame and forks,
Mongoose stamped cranks, seat post, headset and btm bracket
Champion bars
Acs mongoose stem  now with gold stem :)
Sella Italia seat
Araya rims on sunshine hubs. The brake rub on the rear was to bad so I had to shine it but the front is perfect.
Og decals,  I left them on, I dont think they look to bad.

Looks great, only critism is the stem should have been a gold stem, your stem is slightly later, other than that 9/10 :daumenhoch:

Actually that ACS manufactured mongoose stem was used on the likes of the supergoose and team models as early as August 82  ;)

Looking good Steve ;)

would you prefer the DC1020 for the rear (same condition, no charge swap over) as the 890's on the end of it's travel and it would give you a bit of leeway if you ever decided to change sprocket sizes?

You know where i am :daumenhoch:

Thanks for the offer Steve, going to stick with the 890 as I am finished tinkering with it now :daumenhoch:
