Title: Fake or copy ESP stems? Anyone got a pic of one?

As above need it to compare with a original one, was there any differences between them?

suppose that stamp could be removed with some polishing?
just that first one never seen that logo before, only seen the wings or the esp ina circle logo, got me thinking maybe that top one may be a copy or fake?
or did they have 3 different stampings?

A few where sold on here really nice for about £70-£80 I think they where date stamped underneath - dunno if they could be polished out think the date was quite deep.

gossa had them made and had them stamped deeply underneath for the very reason to indentify them as repop.

radman sold one the other day and that looked differant altogether from others id seen so prob a few variations over time?? :-\

ESP was a BOUTIQUE company run by GARY ELLIS"s  old man and the stem"s had Many different LOGOS over there SHORT life span !



They also made a MINI stem that clamped down on the forks so like COOK BROS well ahead of there time  :coolsmiley:

As MARC said CLIVE dated these and i think he only made TEN if that


I had about 8 or 9 PRO stem"s back in the day and i think there was 4 different LOGO design"s  :)

I did a little run of stems, all date stamped plus the expander was way bigger diameter. The shaft also threaded into the head.

As Darren said, they made a lot of different logo's. That one above looks real to me.
