These look pretty sweet for the money..... http://www.jejamescycles.co.uk/mongoose-pitcrew-bmx-item151458.html (http://www.jejamescycles.co.uk/mongoose-pitcrew-bmx-item151458.html).I'm trying to bribe my little un with one to loose the stabilisers ;)
-
mmm interesting offer but thinking about it although hes hard work sometimes i just couldn't trade my 6 year old for a bike
-
:) Mongoose Pitcrews are real heavy,30lbs +.A lot of weight for a 6yr old to push about.

It'll toughen the little fella up ;)
-
Even 30+ year old men dont ride 30lb bikes anymore
I beg to differ, I'm 37 and the back of the car bottoms out when I drop my old Fit in it ;D
-
Depends how tall your 6 year old is, but a 16" is probably going to be right.
Go for something light, they are much keener to use them then.
Also look at the size of levers, grips, etc...make sure they are scaled to the rider. A lot of the cheaper bikes (mongoose included) use adult sized parts.
Go for a Wethepeople or Fit IMO. Give me a shout at the shop if you fancy, I have a 2010 Fit at a bargain price if you fancy it.

i have to disagree with kids not being able to ride a 30 lb bike
look what bailee my boy was doin on is at 4 years old
jumping at least 2 foot high from a little ramp
-
Just think what he could have done on a light bike chubs! ;)
-
he did have a light bike 21lb but preferd the heavier bike as it helped him get more air he said lol
-
Strange child. :LolLolLolLol:
