OK had this funky colour scheme in my head for about 2 years now and just kept changing the parts as more and more interesting 70's bits arrived attached to various frames / bikes I bought over time. Finally got to the point where I was happy enough with the mix.
Some interesting parts like the early redline undrilled forks, early SR double clamp stem and NOS oakley 1's............
Many of these parts where available supplied from mongoose in the 1976-78 catalogues........

Colour mix may not be to everyone's taste but it's definitely got the 70's feel ! :D
Big thanks to Joff for his wonderful painting skills on some of the restored parts here :coolsmiley:
So on with the full spec........
1979 mongoose frame
1976-78 Redline undrilled forks
Tuff I's
Schwinn Scrambler tyres
Early Takagi spider & MX40 chainwheel (not to be confused with the 80's takagi's this is an earlier model with smaller BCD and hex recessed holes in the matching chainring - has the original bespoke hex chainring bolts)
Ashtabula 6 1/2" one piece crank (original survivor finish - dated 79)
NOS MKS rat traps
Alloy seatpost
Dia Compe 2-piece seat clamp
NOS Messinger seat
1976-78 SR double clamp stem
Alloy box bars
NOS Oakley 1 grips
Genuine 1978 mongoose blank 3 stud bar pad

NOTE: YES THE TOP TUBE DECAL IS ON BACKWARDS BUT THE FRAME CAME TO ME THIS WAY AND SOME SURVIVORS HAVE BEEN FOUND THIS WAY SO FOOK IT - IT'S STAYING THIS WAY !!! ;D
