I was wondering if anyone here has had any quick release calipers re done, if so how did you get on with the QR part as it should remain chromed??
I was going to drill it out or remove it somehow then find a fastenings firm or engineering co to get it put back on, it seems simple enough........
I cannot find blue nippons for love or money so this way seems to be my only option and probably cheaper too.
Whats your views??

from what i've been told you can't anno them with the quick release in place as the process will disolve the steel :(
-
Thats what i thought, so has anyone removed the QR part then had em done and if so how or who did the rivetting back on??
-
Contact Custom Colours, I'm sure they tape up the chrome bits on the QR so it can be anodised :daumenhoch:

Do they, surely if it destroys steel it wont be put off by a bit of tape.....
I will give em a call and have a chat, theres also a good place near me so will ask them too.

I am a metal work teacher and I have the kit and several size rivets but I have never done it :-\
