Ok, I just bought a NOS pair but they both have the same length spindles (approx 80mm).
On the back of the arms, one is stamped 88S / PC the other 79S / NF
If I have a front and rear set, anyone know whats what? :buck2:
Also, can you fit the Tourney Quick Release Mechanism to standard calipers :D
Thanks in advance, Paul :daumenhoch:

Alright Paul.
I have a nos rear caliper that is stamped 88s, not got a front to compare it with though.

Cool, thanks man. That's got the ball rolling :daumenhoch:

Pics ? ???
Got quite a few tourneys here I'll take a look at mine.
Are both centre bolts threaded all the way ? ???
-
Thanks man. If you could check the bolt length that would be great :daumenhoch:
Neither of them are completely threaded. I'm thinking they've both got fronts :-\
Don't know what 88S / PC & 79S / NF mean unless: date / ??

I've got a tourney rear spindle you can have. the caliper got nicked with the haro, but i'd got the spindle on the bench!
I know nothing about them, whether it'll fit or not, but you are welcome to it.
PM me

You're a Gent :daumenhoch:
PM on the way. Thanks man.

The correct length is approx 65mm rear and 80mm front. Both of mine are stamped 88S. :daumenhoch:

Cheers Mark :daumenhoch:
I think they were first available from 79 so that might explain the stamps. Looks like I've got an odd pair of fronts ::)
Still, they'll soon be sorted thanks to Mark M :daumenhoch:
