Looking for a new mini race bike for my nipper, its looking like a toss up between the redline proline mini and the SE mini ripper. frame size and spec are fairly close and he likes them both. Any problems with either?
cheers

:) Redline all the way.The build quality is amazing, worth paying the extra ££s.

I recently picked up a new (but 2007 model year) DK Dart mini from Winstanleys BMX for £140... bargain :daumenhoch:

This is what my lad has, except his was a DK Dart jr (same with taller bars which I swapped for some proper mini bars). A very durable bike with strong wheels :daumenhoch:

DK Dart isn't as good as a Redline or an SE, but for £140 you can't really go wrong. My lad rode the Dart Mini for a while and it was more than adequate.
Just make sure Winstanleys actually have it in stock before parting with any cash.

The spec on the ripper seems better but there are lots of redlines on the grid......is this because they are good or is it just name status. i've always likes PK rippers from since i was a kid but there doesn't seen many about and i wondered if this was due to any particular reason. My son prefers the look of the ripper but i dont live near a shop that has one built. i have buying over the net but i may have too

I've got a boxed 2009 mini ripper hidden in the garage waiting for christmas....arrggghhh!!!! It's doing my head in knowing it's there. But anyway, it looks a really nice piece of kit. The Paint finish is top notch, and more importantly the parts look really good too. Can't comment fully until it's buily up and ridden but it looks like it's going to be seriously lush.

Redlines are popular coz the build/components quality is much better than SE stuff. :daumenhoch:SE have got better over the last few years but still just off the mark.

check out the 2011 haro mini
