Hi GUys
Listen need some advice, been clearing out my folks shed and came upon my old Redline prostyler from about 84/85. put it together over a period of about a year as it took me that length of time to afford all the bits. MX100 brakes, mks graphite pedals, tioga beartrap 2 headset redline forklifter? stem.
Now my first dilemma is I no longer have any use for this bike, and my 7 year old son is just getting into bmx. So do I sell bike without wheels. Or do I get a pair of skyways and get it pedal worthy again to sell ????
I swapped my skyways for a pair of red z rims and some cash, but got into flexing the zs so much that they got totally destroyed.
HELP Please, what is this old bike now worth ?
Ta Much

Best bet is to part it out as it is and sell items separately :daumenhoch:

best get some pictures up. be able to advise better then depending on condition :daumenhoch:

put some wheels on it and ride it with your son :daumenhoch:

If you still have your old bike, keep it as you will only regret selling it when its gone :daumenhoch:

Just had a check of the frame and forks etc.
What have we SR 175 one piece crank tioga spider
Gt seat pin
Clarks powerglide brake cable from silver tech 3 s to black mx1000
A Jaguar seat from aero ?
Ame grips dunno cant remember the bars
Both headset and bb are as smoth as the day the were put in.
Frame number is 00139
No drilled bits for fork pegs
Izumi chain somewhere pretty much all there but frame looking a tad weary some small signs of surface rust
Been looking on here and have seen some great restorations, but funds are really sought to purchase a new bike for my 7 year old.
Yeah I will regret it one day, but will get some pics up and you guys in the know can best advise me on best way to sell, although always tempted just to get a pair of skyways a get it like it was way back when. :idiot2:

If you really have to sell it, get yourself a Site Support tag and sell in the for sale section or split it up and put each part on eBay, but please dont dp what some muppets do and list the frame and forks seperately :D. Splitting it will get you maximum coinage :daumenhoch:.

man the rl 20 was one of my favourites.if i had not purchased the bike i have now i would probably be looking for one.i sold my old bike back in the day and always regretted it,i have just managed to find another identical frame and forks.if i hadnt id probably looking for an rl-20 to buy or restore.if i were you ,id put some white tuffs on it and some repro redline cranks and ride it and enjoy it with your son.the bike is worth a few hundred as it is,better buy your son a cheaper new school bike and keep and maybe eventually restore the RL.YOU WILL REGRET SELLING!but if you are still adament,im sure plenty of people on here would want the bike or the bits.

keep the bike and join the gang :yahoo_silent: :2gunsfiring_v1:
