Title: v brake or canti

my new ride has got v brake mounts is it better to use v brake or canti brake or is it poss to change to u brake ?help please
also if v or canti can they be bought in gold anyone ???????

usually v brakes are much much stronger than u brakes when set up properly, but some riders have complained that with a vee brake you cannot feather the brake, its either on, or off.

if you get an XTR V-brake & lever you can fine tune the amount of "Pull" you get from the lever so it should be able to be dialled just right ;)

quite smart too in the dark grey  :coolsmiley:

v brakes are monstrous ...even a complete arse wipe like myself got them working well.

Mate, you can't put a u-brake on V/canti lugs, they's in the wrong position.
Gold is out there...
