got my eye on an aero reflex frame to build up and just wondered if it's ok to turn up and ride it in the old skool races at hersden once in a blue moon?
any idea how the bike might ride and whether the fact it has extra bits on the chain stays poses a problem, or is it a more the merrier type of thing?
-
I can speak for Hersden/the South but us Northern Old Schoolers say the more the merrier. We'd have no problems with you racing on an OS Freestyle bike.
Most Old School race bikes have crap geomatory for modern tracks so I wouldn't be put off by the fact your Aero Reflex was "designed" for freestyle. I shouldn't think the extra guff on the chainstays will matter, just don't be running pegs!
Turn up and race. I expect you'll love it and be on here looking for a race bike the day after!

I have had a race or two on my Haro's at Peterborough :daumenhoch:

Just been looking through an old thread on the museum and pulled out a few twin-tube racing shots. Thought I'd chuck them in here.
Not sure if these were originally conceived as race bikes but whatever. Enjoy ;)
