Title: Unusual seat post clamp ID please gents.......

OK so this lil' fella came on a 1980 complete bike with ALL components (although non factory spec) that were era correct within +/- 12 months but this little seat clamp has me stumped  ???

Anyone recongnise it ?

No markings what so ever - alloy construction............

looks like it might be cooks bros?  not 100% sure though

I always thought all the cook bros. clamps where the 2-piece double bolt jobbies  :-\

i dunno - the pics may not do it justice but trust me, in your hand it looks quality made and symetrical - machined - not hacked out of a lump of alloy !  :D

Whatever it is it looks pretty cool to me 8)
It'll be sound on a period custom build.

its worth keeping hold of just in case...  when i bought my gen 1 haro i asked the owner to take the shite looking 3 piece cranks off, as i had never seen or heard of them before...

 they were cook brothers cranks.... :uglystupid2:

he sold them on ebay a couple of weeks later for about £250.... 

still think the look shite tho'...
