Title: Just Got Home from my Travels and the Postie had been!!!
Post by: Picklez on October 13, 2010, 11:59 PM
Just got home from working in Italy wondering whether the postie would have delivered my 'weekend moment of weakness',

He didn't let me down!

Now all I've got to do is calm the wife down - she'll be buying basics by the end of the month :daumenhoch: Been adding quite a few bits to the stash this month. Been trying to work out what bits I can live without to recoup and keep the boss happy, trouble is every time I think I've work out what I can do without I spend the next hr talking myself out of it!  :2funny:

Anyway as for this latest acquisition, going to be quite a slow build I'm afraid, back off to Italy on Saturday for a couple of weeks so can't even get it to the bead blasters before I go. Then I'm going to have to gather the bits, I've got nothing but some DX's in the stash for this one at the mo. Want to do a CC tribute just strugging with whether to go the chrome/green (got green hotseat and haro tyres if I go that route) route or baby blue, not the Benny Hill variant but this one:

Always loved a UNI! Anyone know what stem that is, Suntour? Also grips?

Keep you posted but as I say - it'll be a slow one, maybe ready for MK11

i would have thought they would have been mushroom grips and either a skyway stem or the same without the skyway sticker on it.
think they were sugino.
i was watching that myself.
madalls got a mint chrome/green un somewhere if you have a look about the site.

Thanks Guys,

Definitely decided on going the baby blue route, but more BB tuffs and hammerhead - got to love a challenge. Ed - you're right Stidds has set the bar high for me. Dordy' - thanks for the info re stem/grip etc, I saw MadAlls chrome/blue variant, hadn't seen the chrome/green combo though.

I'll post some pic's in a couple of weeks or so when she gets back from the blasters (couple of small dents etc to repair so got to strip her naked first   >:D)

Bl*&dy work (and my ever evolving DP - speaking with Steve at the mo about some bits, would have loved to have joined the fun of the UK vs US build off but I've no chance of hitting that deadline) going to slow the whole thing down but I'll keep smiling and plodding along.
