Got this earlier in the year from Tony BMX-796 but I think at least one other RAD member has had it before him. It's been active in the OS race series which for a nearly 30 year old frame and forks seems good to me. I was very surprised when I rode it that due to the long rear end it handled pretty well for a bike with a 18.5" top tube, So we went to the Durham play track for a Birthday ride (this JMC Standard Long was supplied to a shop in December 1980) and I had the idea to replicated the classic BMXA cover shot of Leary from 79. See what you think. Both bike and rider had fun and returned home safely :)
This will become a show build at sometime but till then I'm happy to leave it a rider

Thanks for the comments lads you make an old fart happy ;D
Marky, Yes that is the JMC that was for sale about 4 - 6 months ago with the Hammer head on. I only wanted the F&F + the rims the rest was broken and sold off. Got some nice period stuff to go on it now but think I want to have a race on it first (think I'll change the forks first though). When I got it and saw the size of the down tube I thought it would flex like fook but I was very surprise when I rode it as it's quite stiff and responsive (que the Donor). Much nicer than the 84 Shadow I had BITD as the steering isn't razor sharp / nervous.
