Similar shape to Slams but smaller. About 7.75 rise and 26 wide, at a guess (it was over 10 years ago!).
I think they re-named them the Smal bars, and then bars under 8" rise stopped selling.
-
basicly these are butler bars

Man, their even smaller than I guessed. And I thought I didnt run tiny bars!
Mine were still a good 2" wider than most people in the late 90s!!!! haha
They still make them too.
S&M 7.25" Slam Bar
Width: 24.5"
Rise: 7.25"

And the Smal bar.
S&M Smal Slam Bar

Rise: 7.5"

I dont imagine they sell many of them at the moment.
-
lol the 24.5in slam bars sound tiny :LolLolLolLol:
ive still got a set of 26in wide meduim lite bars which feel small compared to my 28in slam xlt's
cant imagine what the perfect 10 bars feel like!!!
-
I moved up to 26.5 about a year ago and I had to cut them down a bit. Ive now worked up to 27" wide. I dont think I'll be going any wider.
Those perfect 10s are selling out everywhere. Nothing like fashion over function, eh?

You know you want to buy DarkSunday's XLT's at 29 inch's wide :LolLolLolLol:
10 inch rise bars, Didn't some of the GT bars from the 80's used to be about 10 inch's tall?
-
dont think ill be going above 28in wide bars, if i did id prob spin them and hit my knees :LolLolLolLol:
ive got a set of 90's gt bars that are 29in wide and 9in rise and they feel huge

Yup!
What's with all the narrow bars? I'm struggling to ride my cruiser safely with 26" bars and might have to change them.

It got a bit mad in the late 90s. Everyone was cutting their bars right down. And that was when most people had to get levers on there too. For a while Gerry Galley rode with his levers UNDER the cross bar cos there wasnt room above!
Still, not as bad as "fixies" are now. They only just have room for 2 small grips and a thin racer stem.
-
Sounds like hard work!
Then again not everyone is as wide as me. With 28" bars my hands are exactly shoulder-width apart and comfy.
-
Pretty much everyone rides 28" wide now. Even skinny little kids. Big kids ride 29"or 30".
-
how long till 31-32in bars come out
or will s&m put these into production
