Evening,
I got a 1995 GT Speed Series Cruiser recently, and I'm just taking it apart for a clean up and to send the cranks for a re-chrome.
CAn anyone tell me how to pull the cranks. They're three piece, and I have a tool that Ive used on various mountain and road bikes, but it relies on the inside of the crank arm being threaded.
The cranks on the GT dont have a thread.
If I'm not making myself understood, I'll try and get some pics up in the morning.
Any help appreciated.
Dan

do you have any pics?

:) Can you lay your hands on a Profile type tool? They screw into the spindle instead of the arm, maybe someone on here can lend you one.. :daumenhoch:

The last time I pulled, I used a Babycham :daumenhoch:

if their like profile cranks take the non drive side bolt out and then tighten the drive side bolt, it might move it enough to remove the rest by hand.

haha gashead you're showing your age there mate ;D

Dan you need the profile removal tool and a hammer, you screw the removal tool in to the end of the axle, then drive the axle through the crank by hitting the tool with a hammer :daumenhoch:

Thanks a lot lads. I'll have another crack at it shortly.
Gashead - mad dog 20/20 always attracted the kind of ladies I was looking for! Although I had to up my game to attract my current lovely lady (two pints of snake bite and bag of nik naks). :daumenhoch:
