I tried to put it in Carl but all his photobucket links were broken :( Very nice bike though :smitten:
-
hard work indeed :) ---- i hope this ain't k.o. voting (like f.ex. only top 5 will proceed....), but rather getting the chance to first push some personal favorites that might not get any votes under the k.o.-style rule ...... the most wicked could then still be voted for in the final round..... no idea if this makes sense ;D
-
Oh and great work John Fettgoose. :4_17_5:
-
christ that will take me some time to do and give me headache....SOOO many drool worthy lovelies
-
that took some doing :-\
never mind the next rounds

-
Votes in ;) Good luck everyone :daumenhoch:
-
:wtf:   not one of radmans builds in there
-
Who's picked these?
Few stunning bikes but the majority of them are nothing special?
Agree with Pete theres a few omissions here what should be included!
-
People were asked for their fave builds and if no one picked em then they're not here. You should've nominated a few. :daumenhoch:
-
didn't even notice it rob
-
Lets have another round then so some more bikes can be nominated to choose from... John loves putting these lists together
Take 1 in every 10 bikes... so the top 5 or 6 from this lot... then well get some more nominated and choose from them too.
:daumenhoch:

Nothing special , why's that ? .......... because they haven't had 3k thrown at them ::)
John's original thread was for members to pick their personal favourite builds for whatever reason not because of cost or brand name ;)

:daumenhoch:
i agree, there are some much better builds over the years than haven't even got a mention....?
at least 10 of Radman's builds would be in there...?
and others i could mention ::)

Where was this Rob?
-
Original thread was put up by John way back on the 22nd October encouraging all members to go through the site and post images up of the favourite bikes....wotever the reason .
The fact that some of your favourites are missing is irrelevant. I didn't get my favourites in the mix either as i forgot about the thread and didn't post the pics up :-[ :tickedoff:
-
As said above Robbo, the only rule was that you couldn't nominate your own builds. :daumenhoch:

You must have been gutted then pickle! :LolLolLolLol:
-
all top quality builds guys :daumenhoch:
-
I really just can't narrow it down even just to a couple of builds -- too many fantastic builds and too many for me to do that
-- ... just thinking of Dannywhiteley's Rebel race, JJ's JMC DY ... oh, won't even start
So I'll just leave it with Dave chrome Prolite -- which blew my mind in the ORB vs 80sRombloke Bike Buildoff-thread still on vintage 8)

^^
my post from the original thread (thread got deleted...). Was going to suggest that further bikes could be added to the original thread (....or here!), which then would be included in the (1st round) vote. After all, we can still modify our vote/selection of 5
-
Ahh what's the fookin point :buck2:
-
so what's the point then in planning to have a 2nd round then pffst :crazy2: how about making the vote, which cost some people here more than 20 mins to cast, a bit more meningful, how's that fer a point, or dya want more :LolLolLolLol: what's the fookin point?
-
what's the fookin point? :crazy2:
What's the fookin point in putting up a thread for members to nominate their favourite bikes and then a month later when people couldn't be @rsed getting involved they moan about what bikes are entered :crazy2:
It was a global "what' the fookin point" it wasn't directed at your post ::)
-

-

Dingo
-
My votes are in and I'm stoked one of my bikes is in the list ;-)
I've voted for bikes built with some effort and restoration, not an endless bank account and just NOS parts fresh out the box, so Animal Steve's "back from the dead" white MRD is my winner ;-)
Cheers Jonnygoose for putting the effort in to this idea by the way - seems some on here don't read the forums except the for sale section....

Good point my TA is a survivor. and it cost less than a pack of fags to build as when it was built almost ten years ago. the shops were just glad to see the back of all there old dusty stock, the flights on it were bought by me in 84 and the frame was almost rusted through from being in the shed
-
My votes are in :daumenhoch:
-
Mine also :daumenhoch:
-
That's 120 people that have voted now :daumenhoch:
-
Blimey...that was tough to decide on just 5 ...some really nice builds and a few outstanding ones too :daumenhoch:
-

-
I thought BOTM was tough :D
Wish I got on-board earlier and nominated :-\ but votes in :coolsmiley:
-
OK the results are in for Round 1 :daumenhoch:
Thanks to all 135 voters who cast a grand total of 630 votes ! :4_17_5:
We will now cut the pack in half - a fairly even split is :
Double figures = through to next round (28 bikes)
Single figures = out (27 bikes)
That leaves us with 28 bikes for Round 2 for this Saturdays vote off.
We will hack it down close to halfway again after that leaving us with a semi final of around 14 bikes and then a grand final the week after of around 5 - 7 bikes 8)
-
BOO to Stidd's Slingshot not making it through.... BOOOOOOO!
Did some people not vote for 5 then? 'cause 135 x 5 ain't 630 ;)
