Title: Removing a bad paint job from a chrome frame
Post by: stuartD on October 30, 2010, 08:48 AM
As the title says really, I've bought an early 90's haro F&F and was going to strip it and have it powder coated, however when I got the frame home I realised the frame was in fact chrome underneath the paint and the bit's I have exposed are in very good condition.

So what's the best method for removing paint from the frame without damaging the chrome finish underneath ? had thought about nitromoors but don't know what it will do tho the chrome.

thanks in advance
Stuart

I'd use Nitromors, had to do it myself on several occasions and it leaves Chrome untouched. :daumenhoch:

If you don't get many replies to this thread it's because the 1st one was spot on. Exactly as Sparky say's the chrome is left untouched by nitromors. :coolsmiley:
