Evening chaps
OK, so my lad's 3rd birthday is coming up and I want to get him his first ride. At the moment he's got this balance bike...

...which has served him well, but now I want to try him out on a proper little bike. I've already bought and squirreled away a Lil' Ripper :daumenhoch:, but annoyingly it's still way too big and he won't be able to get near it for at least another year.
So my question is this - is there any decent bikes available under a 16" wheel size, or does he have no option but to put up with one of those really crap Toys R Us / Halfords monstrosities until he's manly enough for the Ripper?
Cheers, Bob :)

bmw do a small bike that has no crank on it for them to learn on then when they are ready you can attach the crank that is suppled when brought

You want a 12" mongoose and specialized do one but at that age it's mostly thomas the tank engine etc.

Redline Pitboss, Still has 16 wheels but a really short TT about 14 inches

It's more to do with whether your feet reach the ground or not at that age though init?

Evening all
Thanks for that, great stuff. I like the look of that Islabike (never heard of them until now) and I never realized GT, Specialized and Mongoose all make 12" bikes. the BMW looks real nice but will almost certainly be a bit too pricey for me. Thanks again, and any other info will be much appreciated. Cheers ;)
