Title: Dyeing Z rims?
Post by: dancetothedrummersbeat on November 08, 2010, 05:03 PM
I'm looking to get a set of ACS Z rims in orange. Could white or yellow ones be dyed with good results using rit dye? I've done seats & grips before, but never tried tuffs or z rims....

If they can be dyed, does anyone know the proportion of dye to water? Could somebody post any pics of dyed z rims to show off their dyeing skills?
Thanks.
Andy

Yeah white or yellow will dye orange no problem, just plenty of salt, big enough pan and lots of hot water, keep on the boil and jobs a good'un  :daumenhoch:

i would use 3 packets, as it seems that lighter colours dont dye as well as black/blue, hope this helps :daumenhoch:
