Title: Frame I.D Please
Post by: oldskooldayz on November 13, 2010, 06:22 AM
Hello again

Right so i won this off the bay the other day and must say im more than happy with what i got  :daumenhoch:

but need to try and figure out exactly what it is  :-\

as it stands its very light in its complete build state

little sticker on the back says Made in the UK BY foxfactor ltd

ive done a bit of a google search from whats on the frame as i havnt yet located the serial and it seems it comes back with MT Racing ???

Now i must say that from looking on the museum here and the other museum we all know that the front fork dropouts are the exact same as on some of the MT racing frames ive looked at

but the rears are not ???

the fox decals look very much in line with that off the fox's as well

but frame wise it shares a smacking resemblance to a TRM Freestyler Frame but again its not as the rear dropouts are not the same at all ???

Anyway who can clear this up or is it a MT racing fox freestyler

plus im really tired of looking through museums at frame to try and match it  :'(

hi, not convinced its trm but is probably wot it says on tin,a fox ,those decals look original  tho, im sure you will know by end of day what it is,
bike looks great though infact after a bit of resto will look better and tougher than a trm, provided it isnt one ...  :LolLolLolLol:

Used to have a review of this in a Freestyle BMX but it went to JimmyP - you could PM him to ask for a copy.

I really liked the side view of these frames but hated the 'sausage holder' gusset between the DTT  :crazy2:

Found a link to say the The Ruler has one too...

Gotta love a Fox , that is sweet mate how do you lot find these gems ? I used to pick up the odd bargain now and then ( Gen 1 haro complete bike £155 three years ago ) but always seem to get outbid by 50p on everthing . Still , you gotta love that colour .

As stated above its a Fox 4Styler manufactured by Foxfactor (UK). Nothing to do with MT Racing (Taiwan) though  ;)

Bars could be Dyno Compe, very similar to Haro's, there are some on Steven Costas sale thread at the mo, or some on my quad, ask if you want pics.
