I sometimes have to pinch myself at the opportunities that have presented themselves to me since I got back into BMX just over 6 years ago.
As you all know I've been a massive supporter of the humble Burner (the only BMX I ever owned as a lad) and I've put the last 6 years of my life into promoting the old' Raleigh.
And with this has come some great opportunities, I feel very lucky and some times shake my head at what continues to come my way. Whether I deserve it is open to debate, I'm no so sure, but someone reminded me today that its reward for the efforts I have put into the Raleigh Burner scene over the past 72+ months...
So comes yet another AMAZING project, in fact personally I can't think of a more iconic or historic bike in UKBMX....
You all know I restored this for Craig Schofield... the ACTUAL bike he won the World Championships in Canada in 85'...

You all know I was given his training bike as a 'thank you' for building the bike above... And I can't wait to get stuck into building this up just as Craig had it.

BUT NOW THIS....
ANDY RUFFELL'S ACTUAL MONGOOSE PRO CLASS !!!
While Andy was over in the UK earlier this year to attend the Burner Bash, he spent some time staying with Craig Schofield, the Burner Bash really re-ignited his BMX spirit and obviously sent him into nostalgia overdrive. Andy visited his Mum and uncovered several of his bits and pieces from BITD.
I'm still waiting for the 'history' of this bikes life over the past 25 years, through a lot of detective work, negotiations and favours (a lot by Zoe Schofield) they tracked down Andy's Mongoose Pro Class     and so now she sits in my custody with the incredible task of bringing her back to some of her former glory.
She's a little rough around the edges but the history of this thing makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up....
