nearly finished my new custom build and put odyssey evo 2 front brake on yesterday and although it seems to work ok seems kind of stiff :-\ using a odyssey slic cable(not linear as was told these are no good really for putting down through the forks) tried also varying the length of cable that comes out the bottom of the forks but feels the same, maybe it's meant to be like this :-\
any help or pics of yours would be great :daumenhoch:

when you tighten up the grub screw to the cable dont pull it mega tight like you would on an old school brake
there is no need just take up the slack and tighten the screw, then tention the springs.

didn't really pull cable at all but don't think i have springs tensioned up as much as yours will that make a difference?
thanks for pics by the way :daumenhoch:

double check you have very little resistance at the bottom end ie cable getting dragged on the bend
i run a drab of oil down the cable to help it not snag,i dont run a great deal of tention but it does need a bit
when you do both stand up and look down and pull the lever, make sure they pull even and just with the spanner move the one thats not working evenly
double check you have springs in the correct side happens alot even to me once when not paying attention.

ive got one on the front of my bike and it works perfectly with a linear cable
try and keep the cable as short as possible as it comes out of the forks and goes to the brake
did you oil or grease the cable before fitting?
as dan said check your spring tension and adjust as necessary
