Cheeky half hour build this morning, took it to the local hill, goes OK, might spray it for the next outing!!!

Liking the Hutch and the goose - very white and clean looking.

munnyella, does the turn OK? I was a bit worried about that so I shreded some old 24" wheels and bent then to fit the under the sk8 board on mine.

My procraft/team karate attempt...bit worried about the bottom bracket but hey how much harm can snow do?? :uglystupid2:

Great minds with the mini skateboards but again - the plastic trucks might not last long!!

Off out to try it later...NHS24 on speed dial  :2funny:

Not really, initially I had the front ski 1" higher than the rear, and it did nothing, but have now made it 1" lower and its much better, some rails might improve the situation though, it does like it sideways!!!

Snow gone now, so cant do any more R&D!!

So here it is, a bit of fun on me snowbike, was a really good day with a mate having a couple of funny stacks.....

http://s233.photobucket.com/albums/ee309/biggeorgebike/?action=view&current=5426daa4.mp4

http://s233.photobucket.com/albums/ee309/biggeorgebike/?action=view&current=2577f337.mp4

but i realised i couldnt go backwards and i didnt want to knacker me haro frame so i've built another and here it is......

I got some angle brackets from b&q to make the mounts, I tried using the mini skateboard trucks but it was too wobbly and they were plastic. The brackets were cut and drilled to fit, the front ones fitted into the existing holes in the board.

The problem was fitting the pegs, the other bikes pegs fitted into the bb nicely but as this one has a euro bb, I had to come up with another plan.
I took the bearings out of the euro bb and used part of a suntour coaster brake that fitted in the bb quite well and fitted the pegs to the 10mm axle that runs through it.

And made a seal for the lower headset using a cut down inner tube stright from bmx plus from 1987!

and 2 lots of plates for the rear.

Now all i need is a bit more snow!!

Anybody have a site with instructions how I can transform my bicycle (http://www.bikester.co.uk/bicycles.html) into something like this. I suffer so much if there is ever snow  ;D

Theres not much to it really fella, some people use spare bits, some take the wheels off their current bike, i find its better to keep your weight back so i use pegs instead of cranks, some people use cranks with both arms facing back to move the weight back, my cranks didnt fit in the euro bb!
The angle bracket is from b&q, cost about 6 quid, the skateboards are from jjb, £5 for the mini one on the front, £10 for the full size on the back, on the first bike its a 10 quid board from asda cut in half with the turn up facing forward.
Got the bolts and washers from b&q again, close to 14mm size from the dropouts, the brackets are fitted to the board using the truck bolts off the board.
Have a look on the internet, theres some pictures of james ivetts mongoose doing the rounds, his is a good, easy set up.
Great fun!

This is my latest, still untried, but I reckon I will lose the skate trucks too, certainly the front one, I have all manner of bracketry to try, but its all pie in the sky until it snows again!!
