Title: Found some old memories at my mums....
Post by: stevesredvxr on December 05, 2010, 03:22 PM
As some of you know my dad has recently passed away so my mums been having a clearout at home.
She came across a few of my BMX memories in the process which have cheered me up a bit.  :)

Here's me, in I think about 81, on Xmas morning on my new Team Murray. Granted not the best BMX of the time but my mum and dad
wouldv'e struggled to buy this as well as all my other sisters presents. I was made up with it.

This is my Silverfox which my mum and dad bought me for doing well at school:

Yes I do look a complete cock in this photo with my Adidas First Tracky, and my Farah pants!! Not to mention my gay one footed endo!
Check the plate out:

Cos she found that too!!!

As well as this....did anyone else have one of these? Yep, thought not!!

And finally, me in the South of France in about 85 with my dad and my mate Jamie.
I'm the one hogging the coke with my Skyway hat on!! We were gutted we couldn't take our bikes with us so we hired
two BMX's for the entire holiday and bought one of those big massive skateboards each....good times.

Big thanks to my mum for finding them and an even bigger thanks to my dad for all the things he ever did for me including
struggling to make ends meet so us kids would be so happy.... :daumenhoch:

Thanks for your replies........was great to get these back, I thought they'd been skipped years ago! Good old mum and dad eh?

For all those of you who have lost a parent you will know how I feel.....for those of you who haven't, never take them for granted,
enjoy your time with them....and finally look after them like they've looked after you....you never know when they'll be gone.  ;)

Cool pics and memories :)

Really sorry to hear of your loss fella and echo your sentiment about the time with your parents.

Only ever seen one of those frame boards in mags from bitd, can't quite recall but was it rads own Trevor Cowell that created it?
