2010 has been a good year with first two curtis builds now all but done.
I bought this 1983 expert on ebay in March. BITD I have an 83 Pro which my dad bolted all my old burner stuff onto. The idea was to build another one the same, but couldnt get hold of a Pro and this was at the right price.
It had a badly crimped rear brake (pretty common on Curtis's) and I managed to get Curtis to do the repair. They were cheap and did a fantastic job.
Got it back from them in the summer and then got distracted by a stunning Curtis Freestyler which I picked up from Mani.
Once the freestyler was done, I got round to getting the expert frame chromed, and it came back on Friday.
Got to say I'm chuffed to bits with it. When I looked at it after the build last night, I got the same goose pimples as I did on Christmas Day 1983 aged 11!
Thanks very much to Gashead for the info and general help along the way, Mani for the bars, stem, and clamp (great glass painting!), Del for top class decals, and Firebird for the pads.
Now have a Rickman tucked away for next year, and still hope to pick up a Pro sometime. Need to get some money back in the bank first though.
Really enjoyed being part of the Rad communitty this year, so thanks to all. (Site Supporter Cheque in the post - cant get it to go through on PAYPAL).
Merry Christmas Radsters.

Thanks a lot lads.
Gashead - the chroming was at Chromefix in Birmingham. Overall a good job, just a bit 'peppery' round the bottom bracket, and they haven't done a lot of polishing. If anything I expected the rear drop outs to be bad because of the Curtis box section, but they're good. Had to nag a bit but overall I think I'd recommend. They don't do bikes normally so you have to be really clear how you want it. £150 posted which seems alright.
Mani - whats on in London mate? Might come and buy you a pint :daumenhoch:
