??? what rear hub is that ? surpose to be like that or ?
looks sweet but does it work like that ?
-
I can't see any reason for it ??? Not liking it myself.......don't get the double drive thing or the all black tyres. Other than those its a nice frame :daumenhoch:
-
but how does it work

but how does it work
Same as any bike with just one chainwheel, it just has two............................for some reason :-\
-
so the rear hub has two freewheels that run in the same direction and not like a flip flop hub that needs to be on the right side !
you see my point chris ?
-
freewheel would have to be lhd specific,
i know they made them in the 90's/00's but the one on there would be way early!
i didnt know they made them back in the 80's, maybe it was a custom made job, not easy to make a freewheel though
cool bike, nice to see something different come up :smitten:

the rear hub must of been a kit that came with the cranks originally, by the description the owner has given! same make as the cranks! ::)

Special hub, came with the cranks, something along the lines of 500 or so made.

better ? faster ? stronger ? why ?

All remain unanswered, especially WHY? ;D The weight disadvantage on the rotational mass would seem to negate any potential advantage you could gain on a BMX track (being a sprint race in effect).
-
I suppose two balls are better than one.....
-
Thats sh*t.

i suppose if one chain snaps, at least you can carry on! ;D

BMX over engineering to the extreme 8)
-
spoils an other wise nice bike i think.
-
For 1980 built frame, looks well ahead of its time though.
I've snaped so many chains cranking it hard :P ::) that I dunno, seems like a good idea to me to use two chains, but erm don't actually think it would make you any faster.
