Unfortunately I bought a pair of nos comp 8's for £40 a couple of month back too. It's about the going rate by the sound of it.

Just out of intrest , what year are Comp8 's , around 87 onward
I know the silver /blue (with dark blue text )Comp 3's are 85 onward
and the silver/blue (with lightblue text ) ,,like this style are later ,,right? ???
So anyone got a magazine ad to confirm year :)

really nice tyres, apparently mainly used as a rear with summat like a comp IV on the front i thought they were later than 85 mind :-\

Definately , that's what I wrote Dave
I mentioned the 1985 Comp III's in comparison , so you would see the difference or similarity in the label as they changed the colour of blue in the text over a period , which denotes a couple of years later than 85
, my guess was 87 ish onward
Nobody know for sure then ???
adverts , not just guessing
Either way very nice tyres , what size , both 1.75's or 1.5's Gary ? :)

Mmm, I'd say Comp 8's were out very late eighties at the earliest. I recall they were standard issue on my Mongoose Solution Pro and that was an early nineties bike.

I'd auction them on eBay.com as there seems to be less NOS tyres knocking about over there and the yanks don't mind throwing their $$$ around. You'll easily make the ballpark figure mentioned on here and maybe a lot more.
What do you have to lose? :daumenhoch:
-
50 quid seems more than fair imo.........
Yours look like they are 87 onwards, are they both 1.75?
